I wrote this for one person: myself, at eighteen.
Everything before that was aimed at one thing: getting into college. Thirteen years of work for an acceptance letter, and almost nothing for the life waiting on the other side of it.
No one handed me a manual: how money actually works, how to think when a decision is real and the cost is mine, how to tell the few choices that shape a life from the noise of the ones that don’t. I learned most of it the slow way, and a fair amount of it the expensive way.
This is everything I wish someone had told me before I walked into my twenties. Not a weekend read. A year you can take on your own. A long letter with a real curriculum on mindset, money and the big calls, written so you can skip a few of the mistakes I didn’t.
Some of the people sprinting ahead of you now will be stuck in a decade. Some of the ones who look behind will pull away. This is about how to pull away, and how to set yourself up for the decade ahead.

The 13th Grade is free: every unit, no trial clock, no card required. The book is the only thing that costs money, and the course never requires it.
Do I need the book to take the course?
No, the course stands on its own. But it's highly recommended: the units are bite-size versions of the concepts, and the book breaks the same ideas down in much more detail. Course to get moving, book to go deep.
How long does it take?
It's designed as a 24-week run: one unit a week. Each week is light: the unit is about 20 minutes online with the video and practice inside that, the chapter reads in about 20, and the homework is your real life. Move faster if you want; the pace is yours.
Is this financial advice?
No. It's financial education: plain-English explanations of how things work so you can make your own calls. For advice on your specific situation, talk to a licensed professional.
Who is this for?
Young adults who got handed adulthood without a manual (students, first-jobbers, new-city movers), and the parents who want to give them a head start.
Is this an actual school?
Deliberately not. Self Made School is a non-academic program: no accreditation, no degrees, no transcripts, nothing to fail. The school theming is there because it's fun. The material is practical life skills you use the same week you learn them.
